ABOUT THE FUND
The Lougheed Initiative is a donor advised fund established in 2016 by Katie and Charlie Lougheed.

About 21% of children in the United States live in poverty, and as such, often don't get to chose their education. Millions of Americans lack critical knowledge and skills to fill jobs within growing sectors of our economy. Women make up over half of our population, yet still play a relatively tiny role in rapidly growing science, technology, engineering, and math companies. Newly diagnosed patients with disabling and deadly diseases lack receive limited access to information and experiences, especially from those that have won their battle to survive. These people are all around us. They are our friends, family, and fellow citizens.

Our goal is simple: BRIDGE THE KNOWLEDGE GAP among the disadvantaged, unfortunate, and overlooked so they can make the world a better place for themselves and us.
CAUSES
The Lougheed Initiative focuses its grants on three areas: education, healthcare, inclusive prosperity, and entrepreneurship enablement.
